DSC2020

The Sixth IEEE International Workshop for Data Science and Computing (DSC'2020)
The use of technology in our everyday lives has been made possible thanks to the increasing availability of enormous amounts of data. Data is produced in different sectors and platforms including cell phones, social media, e-commerce sites, healthcare surveys, internet searches, etc. Its increasing availability contributed to the emergence, some years ago, of a new field of study named Big Data. Even if volume is one of the most obvious property of Big Data, other properties like velocity, veracity, value, among other V’s have called for novel methodologies and strategies that encourage the use of Big Data to produce better tools of operations in all sectors including transportation, finance, manufacturing, and regulation. These methodologies have been gathered under the science of data that includes areas of data analytics, machine learning, statistics, optimization and managing big data. Data science has become essential to understand large data sets and convert them into useful intelligence, for enterprises, government or on the Web.
The Sixth International Workshop for Data Science and Computing (DSC'2020) aims to bring together leading academic scientists, researchers and industry practitioners to exchange and share their experiences and research results on all aspects of Data Science and its Applications.

General areas of interest to DSC'2020 include but are not limited to:
• Algorithms for large data sets
• Architecture, management and process for data science
• Cloud computing and service data analysis

Submissions Guidelines and PROCEEDINGS
Manuscripts should be prepared in 10-point font using the IEEE 8.5" x 11" two-column format. All papers should be in PDF format, and submitted electronically at Paper Submission Link. A full paper must not exceed the stated length (including all figures, tables and references). Submitted papers must present original unpublished research that is not currently under review for any other conference or journal. Papers not following these guidelines may be rejected without review. Also submissions received after the due date, exceeding length limit, or not appropriately structured may also not be considered. Authors may contact the Workshop Chair for further information or clarification. All submissions are blind peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers. Accepted papers will appear in the Conference Proceedings, and be published by the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Services and be submitted to IEEE Xplore for inclusion.
Submitted papers must include original work, and must not be under consideration for another conference or journal. Submission of regular papers must not exceed 6 pages and must follow the IEEE paper format. Please include up to 7 keywords, complete postal and e-mail address. of the corresponding author. Authors of accepted papers are expected to present their work at the conference. Submitted papers that are deemed of good quality but that could not be accepted as regular papers will be accepted as short papers.

Important Dates:
• Submission deadline: July 31, 2020
