The Hot Topics & Emerging Technologies Symposium

(HoTETS) @ AICCSA 2024  Download

The Hot Topics & Emerging Technologies Symposium is set to assemble leading minds from academia, industry, and government to sightsee the frontiers of technological innovation of Computing, Informatics, Multimedia, and Networking. In a world where rapid advancements are reshaping every aspect of human life, HoTETS 2024 aims to serve as a premier platform for exchanging groundbreaking ideas, fostering collaborations, and envisioning the future of technology.

Emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), 5G and Beyond-5G (B5G) networks, blockchain, biotechnology, and advanced materials are revolutionizing industries and societies at an unprecedented pace. The junction of these technologies holds the potential of solving some of the most pressing societal challenges, from climate change and healthcare to cybersecurity and sustainable development. HoTETS 2024 will feature a diverse array of sessions, including keynote, panel discussions with experts across various domains, fundamental, technical and poster presentations showcasing cutting-edge research, and discussing deep and innovative insights into service provisioning, security, and data privacy protection mechanisms among others.

Attendees will have the opportunity to delve into hot topics. By bringing together experts from different fields, HoTETS 2024 aims to stand-in a holistic understanding of how these emerging technologies can be integrated to create synergistic solutions. The theme for the symposium is “Transdisciplinary –Transmedia – Transformations” with a strong focus on the importance of policy and regulation in guiding the responsible development and deployment of new technologies, ensuring that their benefits are maximized while mitigating potential risks. The symposium will also feature an exhibition area where companies and startups can showcase their latest products and innovations, providing a glimpse into the future of technology.

The International symposium on Hot Topics & Emerging Technologies will be held in conjunction with 21st ACS/IEEE International Conference on Computer Systems and Applications (AICCSA' 2024) at Sousse, Tunisia.

Topics of Interest

The aim of the symposium is to showcase new research and initiatives that are integral to all of the above areas, with a focus on the following topics that cover the top trends in emerging technologies, but are not limited to:

– Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
– IoT, Cloud, Edge Computing and Blockchain technologies
– Quantum Computing
– 5G and Next-Generation Connectivity
– Data Science and Big Data Analytics

Submitted papers must present original unpublished research that is not currently under review for any other conference or journal. Papers not following these guidelines may be rejected without review. Also, submissions received after the due date, exceeding length limit, or not appropriately structured may not be considered. Authors may contact the Program Chair for further information or clarification.

All submissions are peer-reviewed by at least three reviewers. Accepted papers will appear in the Conference Proceedings, and be published by the IEEE Computer Society Conference Publishing Services and be submitted to IEEE Xplore for inclusion.

Submitted papers must include original work, and must not be under consideration for another conference or journal. Submission of regular papers must not exceed 8 pages and must follow the IEEE paper format. Please include up to 7 keywords, complete postal and e-mail address, and fax and phone numbers of the corresponding author.
