Flight Booking:

Tunis-Carthage international airport (TUN) is the main airport of the country Direct and connecting flights are available from many major cities worldwide.

Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE) and Monastir (MIR) international airports are the closest  and more conveniently located than Tunis-Carthage International Airport (TUN) to the conference venue. 

Transfer to Sousse:

If you are arriving at Tunis-Carthage international airport (TUN)

  • Taxi or Private Transfer: After exiting the arrivals area, you will find touristic taxis waiting outside the terminal. The drive to Sousse takes approximately 30 minutes and costs around 200 TND (Tunisian dinars).
  • BOLT Mobile Application: Alternatively, you can use the BOLT mobile application.
  • Car Rental: If you prefer to drive, car rental services are available at the two airports. 

If you are arriving at Enfidha-Hammamet (NBE) and Monastir (MIR) international airports 

  • Taxi or Private Transfer: After exiting the arrivals area, you will find licensed taxis waiting outside the terminal. It is recommended to use a metered taxi or arrange a private transfer through your hotel. The drive to Sousse takes approximately 30 to 40 minutes and costs around 30 TND (Tunisian dinars).

  • Car Rental: If you prefer to drive, car rental services are available at the two airports.

  • Currency: The currency is the Tunisian dinar (TND). You can exchange currency at the airport or use ATMs to withdraw local cash.
  • Safety: Sousse is a well-developed tourist city and is generally considered safe for visitors.
  • Temperature: In October, Sousse enjoys mild temperatures, typically ranging from 12°C to 22°C (53°F to 70°F), providing a pleasant escape from the winter chill.

Withdraw local currency :

Obtaining local currency (Tunisian Dinar, TND) in Tunisia is straightforward.

  • You can use international debit or credit cards to withdraw cash directly in Tunisian Dinars. ATMs are widely available in major cities, tourist areas, and airports.
  • Currency exchange bureaus are also present in airports and almost everywhere in Sousse, especially in the tourist areas (e.g., medina, kantaoui)
  • Many hotels and resorts offer currency exchange services for guests.
  • These services may charge higher fees or offer less favorable exchange rates compared to banks and exchange bureaus.
